Cholera outbreak: Governor Badaru goes spiritual, seeks prayers


Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has called for relentless prayers against the outbreak of Cholera in some parts of the State, which has claimed many lives.


The Governor made the call in a statement signed by his special adviser on new media, Auwalu D. Sankara.


TBL reported that the Jigawa State Government had confirmed the death of 100 persons as a result of cholera outbreak across the State.


The State ministry of health said over 5000 cases of cholera outbreak were recorded in 19 local Governments.


Governor Badaru, however, urged the people to always keep their environment clean and maintain personal hygiene as positive measures against the outbreak of diseases.


He noted that state Government was doing its best to curtail the spread of the disease.
